Countries in Africa that meet the requirements are now allowed to export cashew nuts to China.
Journalists learned from the General Administration of Customs on the 15th that cashew nuts produced by African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China have fully achieved quarantine access to China since June 9. According to the announcement issued by the General Administration of Customs on the inspection, quarantine, and health requirements for imported African cashew nuts, the imported cashew nuts refer to nuts made from cashews grown within the exporting country, processed through peeling, drying, sorting, and other processing techniques for human consumption with shells or without shells. Cashew nuts exported to China must not contain quarantine harmful organisms such as grain borer, kidney spot borer, four-striped bean weevil, and African banana stem weevil that Chinese authorities are concerned about.
