The total number of people entering and exiting Beijing has exceeded 10 million people half a month earlier than last year.
On the 15th, it was learned from the Beijing Immigration Inspection General Station that as of 5:30 am on June 15th, the total number of inbound and outbound personnel at Beijing ports this year exceeded 10 million, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period last year, breaking this level half a month earlier than last year. Liu Yan, Deputy Director of the Border Inspection Department of the Beijing Immigration Inspection General Station, introduced that since June, the number of inbound and outbound personnel at Beijing ports has been running at a high level, with a significant increase in the number of foreign nationals entering the country. As of June 15th, the number of inbound and outbound foreign nationals at Beijing ports this year has exceeded 3.4 million, accounting for over 30% of the total number of inbound and outbound personnel, an increase of over 30% compared to the previous year. Among them, more than 1.25 million foreign nationals entered the country under visa-free and temporary entry permits, accounting for over 70% of the total number of inbound foreign nationals. The main reasons for entry are tourism, business exchanges, and visiting relatives and friends.
