Rectification shows effectiveness, complaint and accident rates of functional unmanned vehicles in Shenzhen have dropped significantly.

Recently, the Shenzhen Intelligent Connected Transportation Association released the "May 2026 Shenzhen Functional Logistics Unmanned Vehicle Monthly Operation and Development Report". The report shows that in May, the functional unmanned vehicles in Shenzhen significantly reduced citizen complaints through special rectification, while achieving a full growth in nighttime route operation mileage. In May, the total operating mileage of unmanned logistics vehicles reached 182,000 kilometers, an increase of 31% compared to the previous month; completing 2.82 million unmanned deliveries, with a commercial value of about 24.08 million yuan. As of the end of May, there were 1,273 operating registered vehicles in the city, with 2,633 open routes and a total mileage of nearly 12,000 kilometers. Complaints have decreased, rectification has been effective, and after special rectification of issues such as parking point planning and signal failures, the number of citizen complaints in May decreased by 32.7% month-on-month to 33 cases; all 4 major complaint incidents from the previous month have been resolved. The traffic accident rate has dropped to 0.27 times per 10,000 kilometers, a decrease of 37% compared to the previous month. The vehicle compliance rate is 99.4%, an increase of 2.3 percentage points compared to the previous month.
