On June 15, the Chongqing Market Supervision Administration reported 23 typical cases of fake and inferior meat products. Among them were two cases of duck meat being sold as beef, and one case of pork being sold as beef. The report stated that since 2026, a total of 732 cases of violations have been investigated, including operating without a license, meat not being inspected and quarantined, expired raw materials and food products, use of non-food substances, excessive use of food additives, adulteration and false advertising, lack of strict process control, and non-compliance with labeling regulations.
