Exceeding 10 million people, the total number of inbound and outbound personnel in Beijing port has reached a new high this year.

The journalist learned from the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection that as of 5:30 am on June 15th, the total number of entry and exit personnel at Beijing ports this year has exceeded 10 million, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period last year. This milestone was reached half a month earlier than last year. As of now, China has unilaterally implemented visa-free policies for 50 countries, and the policy dividends continue to be released. Since June, the number of entry and exit personnel at Beijing ports has continued to operate at a high level, with a significant increase in the number of foreign nationals entering the country. As of June 15th, the number of foreign nationals entering and leaving Beijing ports this year reached 3.436 million, accounting for 34.4% of the total number of entry and exit personnel, an increase of 31.5% compared to the same period last year. Among them, 1.259 million foreign nationals entered the country under visa-free and temporary entry permit policies, accounting for 71.7% of the total number of foreign nationals entering the country. The main purpose of entry is for tourism, business exchanges, visiting relatives, and friends. Looking at the entry and exit situation of mainland residents, over 6.033 million mainland residents have chosen to enter and exit through Beijing ports, accounting for 60.3% of the total number of entry and exit personnel. Countries like South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore are popular destinations.
