With the approaching Dragon Boat Festival holiday, bookings for homestays and hotels near dragon boat race venues in cities such as Guangzhou and Foshan have become especially popular. According to data from a travel platform, Guangdong ranks second in the country for homestay bookings during the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday. From late May to mid-June, searches for keywords such as "dragon boat race," "Diejiao dragon boat," and "Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament" have increased by about 183% compared to the previous period. The search popularity for hotels within a 3-kilometer radius of the core race sections in Guangzhou and Foshan has also increased by about 210%, significantly higher than on weekends without events.
