Wang Yi meets with Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg

On June 13, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg in Ulaanbaatar. Wang Yi stated that China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors. China always adheres to the principle of equality between countries, follows the principles of sincerity, friendship, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness in its neighborhood diplomacy, and places Mongolia in an important position in its neighborhood diplomacy to actively promote friendly cooperation between the two countries. The Treaty of Friendly Cooperation between China and Mongolia clearly stipulates that both countries adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and do not allow a third country to use its territory to harm the sovereignty and security of the other country. This is an important guarantee for the healthy development of China-Mongolia relations. Faced with unprecedented changes in a century, China and Mongolia should firmly grasp the direction of friendly cooperation, continue to support each other firmly on issues involving core interests, and adhere to the fundamental and long-term interests of the two peoples, continuously enriching the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia with new connotations, and jointly respond to various external challenges.
