According to China National Railway Group Limited, from January to May, the China-Laos Railway transported 167,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 35% year-on-year, while the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway transported 14.534 million cross-border passengers, an increase of 14.5% year-on-year. At the same time, the railway department actively adjusted to the increase in passenger flow brought about by the country's visa-free policy, providing convenience for foreign tourists. In the first five months, the national railways transported 10.024 million foreign tourists, an increase of 35.5% year-on-year.
