At a review meeting held by the Japan Nuclear Regulation Authority on June 12th, Hokuriku Electric Power Company stated that 216 errors were found in the review materials for Unit 2 of the Shika Nuclear Power Plant in Ishikawa Prefecture under the company's jurisdiction. The errors were related to the explanation of tsunami heights that could be triggered by earthquakes in the area surrounding the nuclear power plant. Out of a total of 169 pages of documents, 26 pages had issues such as data transcription errors and missing content. The Nuclear Regulation Authority requested Hokuriku Electric Power to investigate the reasons for the errors, come up with countermeasures, and provide an explanation at the next meeting.
