In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the foreign trade of the nine mainland cities grew rapidly, increasing by 18.8% year-on-year.

According to data released by the Guangdong Branch of the General Administration of Customs today, in the first five months of this year, the import and export of the 9 mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area grew rapidly, accounting for 20.7% of the total import and export value of the country. The 9 mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing. According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, the import and export of the 9 mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area reached 4.28 trillion yuan, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year. Among them, exports were 2.53 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.7%; imports were 1.75 trillion yuan, an increase of 32.7%.
