India grants retrospective exemption from import duties for certain nuclear power equipment.

According to a government order issued on June 11th, the Indian Ministry of Finance announced the exemption of all tariffs on imported goods used for nuclear power, covering imports from April 1, 2019 to January 31, 2026. In the annual budget released in February, the Indian government extended the tariff exemption for nuclear power equipment until 2035. According to the order released on Thursday, this exemption will be retroactive.
