Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Verifying and disposing of nearly 200 million high-risk phone cards involved in fraud.

It was learned from the news conference held by the Ministry of Public Security today that by the end of 2025, the information and communication industry has accumulated to check and dispose of nearly 200 million high-risk fraudulent phone cards and over 400 million internet accounts. They have assisted public security organs in seizing 210,000 "plug-in cluster devices" used to make fraudulent calls, also known as "cat pool" devices, and cracked down on 117,000 criminal dens illegally setting up "cat pool" devices, cutting off the communication chain of fraud from the source. They have also achieved technical docking with more than 200 telecommunications and internet companies to build a fast, real-time, and effective technical defense system, intercepting 6.48 billion fraudulent calls and messages by 2025, and disposing of over 11 million fraudulent domain names and URLs.
