The repair and maintenance tunnel of the Channel Diversion Project was successfully completed and opened.

On June 10th, the major project of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Phase II, the Han River Diversion Project made further progress as the 8th maintenance and transportation tunnel was successfully completed. The 8th maintenance and transportation tunnel is located in Ma Liang Town, Baokang County, Hubei Province, with a total length of 2,959 meters. The project uses the largest single shield hard rock tunnel boring machine in China, with a excavation diameter of 12.23 meters, and integrates intelligent monitoring systems for advanced geological forecasting to identify faults, water inrushes, and other risks in advance.
