The statement said that the Director of the Africa CDC wrote to the health ministers of all AU member states, urging countries to take coordinated action to prevent the cross-border spread of the Ebola virus while ensuring the safe movement of personnel, trade, humanitarian activities, and economic activities. The organization emphasized that taking strong public health measures at entry and exit points is a practical, visible, and verifiable way to reduce risk and maintain international confidence.
