Market research firm Counterpoint's report shows that in the first quarter of 2026, global smartphone SoC shipments decreased by 8% compared to the previous year. Analysts point out that the ongoing shortage of memory supply is the main factor leading to the overall decline in shipments. In the first quarter of this year, MediaTek ranked first with a 32% share, followed by Qualcomm with 23% in second place, Apple with 19% in third place, Unisoc with 14% in fourth place, Samsung with 7% in fifth place, and HiSilicon with 4% in sixth place.
