Seiko watch changes its Chinese operating entity, responding that operations in the Chinese market are normal.

Tianyancha information shows that Seiko Clock Co., Ltd. was cancelled on May 28th. The number of insured persons in its business annual report also decreased from 137 in 2022 to 63 in 2024. Interface Fashion confirmed the above information with Seiko's official customer service and received further information that Seiko's operating entity in China has been renamed Seiko Trading Co., Ltd. Seiko's customer service also denied the rumors of layoffs, stating that this change is only a company name adjustment and the brand is still operating normally in the Chinese market. Seiko's official website in China shows that as of June 3rd, 2026, the brand has a total of 131 retail stores in China.
