The yen exchange rate has fallen again to 160 yen to 1 US dollar.
On June 3, in the Tokyo foreign exchange market, the exchange rate of the Japanese yen fell again to 160 yen to 1 US dollar. On April 30, the yen exchange rate briefly touched a low of 160.7 yen to 1 US dollar. To curb the continued depreciation of the yen, the Japanese government and central bank implemented market intervention measures that day by buying yen and selling dollars. The Japanese government also conducted similar interventions during the Golden Week holiday in May. The intervention quickly pushed the yen exchange rate to the range of 155 yen to 1 US dollar, but the yen has weakened again recently.
