In 2025, seven accounting firms were fined a total of 13.7 million yuan.

On June 2nd, the Ministry of Finance disclosed Announcement No.51 on accounting supervision and inspection. The announcement shows that based on the quality supervision and extended inspection of 40 accounting firms engaged in securities services, as well as the accounting information quality of 119 enterprises, the Ministry of Finance has made administrative penalties against relevant parties in 2025 in accordance with the law: suspending the business operations of one accounting firm for 1 year, suspending the business operations of another accounting firm for 3 months, issuing warnings to 5 accounting firms, and a total fine of 13.7 million yuan imposed on 7 accounting firms; revoking the certificate of one registered accountant, suspending the business operations of 21 registered accountants, issuing warnings to 54 registered accountants; imposing administrative penalties on 42 enterprises and 26 enterprise leaders, with a total fine of 2.981 million yuan imposed on the 42 enterprises and 1.002 million yuan imposed on the 26 enterprise leaders.
