The Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the Statistical Bulletin on the Development of Culture and Tourism in 2025 on the 2nd. The bulletin shows that by the end of 2025, there were a total of 16,994 A-level scenic spots nationwide, with 1.739 million direct employees. Throughout the year, there were 7.51 billion tourist visits, generating tourism revenue of 554.49 billion yuan. According to the bulletin, by the end of 2025, there were a total of 1,879 art performance groups under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Throughout the year, there were a total of 392,000 performances, an increase of 1.8% compared to the previous year; there were 310 million domestic audiences, an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous year. There were 1,798 original debut plays and 5,132 original debut programs throughout the year.
