The collapse occurred at around 3 am on May 24, trapping at least 30 people at one point. The Angeles City Information Office stated that the collapsed building was a concrete structure that had reached the ninth floor at the time of the incident. A construction notice at the site indicated that a nine-story commercial building was being constructed, including a rooftop terrace and swimming pool. According to the Philippine Department of Labor, the construction site is suspected of violating safety and health standards. Accident investigation and rescue operations are still ongoing.
