Tencent stock price soars, news claims WeChat AI assistant is coming soon.

Tencent's Hong Kong stocks surged by 6.5% at one point. Earlier reports claimed that Tencent is testing a prototype of an AI agent on WeChat and plans to start the necessary compliance process for public release as early as this month. After that, Tencent plans to test the agent with a small number of external users before rolling it out in stages. Due to the uncertain time required for compliance, the official release date is yet to be determined. Users will be able to access the conversation window of this AI agent by swiping right on the main WeChat interface.
