Shenzhen's online car-hailing market has saturated, official issues risk warning.
Recently, the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau announced the operational dynamics and risk warnings for the online car-hailing industry in Shenzhen in April 2026. The overall market is currently saturated, with an average of about 13.01 orders per day per online car in the city in April. The official reminder emphasizes that prospective practitioners should fully research, make rational decisions, and be alert to six major risks: some platforms use the "work/guarantee model" to collect revenue, poor company management will lead to driver losses; unauthorized middlemen may cause disputes; beware of false advertisements like "earning tens of thousands a month" to avoid contract violations from returning a car; be aware of the scam of "no license, no penalties", unauthorized operations will be punished and insurance claims denied; avoid renter schemes like "deposit-free" and "high returns", and check the terms before signing the contract; be cautious of risks like insurance becoming invalid due to overdue payment by the rental company.
