In response to some recent EU member states' unilateral and unfounded accusations against China, such as "overcapacity", and even pushing for the introduction of new trade tools for addressing "overcapacity", the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated in an article that this goes against the objective industrial facts and is not conducive to China-EU economic and trade cooperation. Both sides need to consolidate the existing good cooperation foundation, overcome the growing pains of development, understand and support each other, innovate cooperation, and achieve win-win results. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated that production capacity is the result of investors matching industry competitiveness with market demand, essentially driven by the market and market choice. Therefore, trade volume and overcapacity issues should be viewed objectively, rationally, and from a developmental perspective.
