A Danish pension fund managing $25 billion in assets earlier this year attracted attention for selling US Treasury bonds, at which time Donald Trump threatened to take over Greenland Island. Now, the fund has stated that it will not invest in SpaceX. Chief Investment Officer Anders Schelde of AkademikerPension stated that SpaceX is not only "severely overvalued," but also has a "disastrous corporate governance structure." SpaceX is currently targeting a valuation of at least $1.8 trillion for its initial public offering. Industry research suggests that SpaceX's IPO filings expose clear corporate governance issues, including Musk having "almost absolute control" over the company. Schelde stated that even if SpaceX's valuation is reasonable, AkademikerPension will still blacklist it from investments. He pointed out that Musk is expected to control about 80% of the voting rights while simultaneously holding key positions such as CEO, CTO, and chairman of the board.
