On May 27, Huang Gou, Director of the State Drug Administration, met with Martin Taylor, the WHO representative in China. The two sides had in-depth discussions on the evaluation of WHO listed institutions, promoting cooperation in the traditional medicine field, supporting the construction of WHO technical standards, personnel exchanges, and other cooperation matters. Huang Gou stated that WHO plays an important role in global public health governance, and the State Drug Administration is willing to work with WHO to create broader cooperation prospects based on the existing work foundation. Huang Gou emphasized that in recent years, China's drug regulatory work and the biopharmaceutical industry have developed rapidly in sync. The State Drug Administration will continue to make progress steadily, firmly follow the path of internationalization, and be a trusted partner for WHO and global drug regulatory authorities by completing WLA evaluations and other tasks with conditions and foundations. Martin Taylor highly praised the achievements of China's drug regulatory system construction and biopharmaceutical industry development, and looks forward to China making greater contributions to global public health.
