Tencent's self-developed "Canghai Chip" V2 version is about to enter mass production.

According to Tencent, the self-developed video codec chip "Canghai" V2 has been successfully launched, with upgrades in encoding and decoding, high-speed HD, and rendering capabilities. It will begin offering comprehensive online services in the second half of 2026. It is understood that the Canghai chip has been under development since 2019, and mass production and application began in 2023. Currently, Canghai V1 has been deployed on a large scale in Tencent Cloud and Tencent's own environments, with over 100,000 units in use.
