According to the Chilean National Seismological Center, at 1:23 am local time on May 27, a magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred about 35 kilometers northeast of Calama, Antofagasta region, in northern Chile, with a depth of 137 kilometers. This earthquake is an aftershock of a previous 6.9 magnitude earthquake. Currently, there are no reports of casualties or property damage.
