The Nigerian military said on the 26th that the country's armed forces have killed 317 terrorists, arrested 314 people, and rescued over 221 kidnapped individuals in various anti-terrorism operations in May of this year. Nigerian military spokesman Michael Onoja said at a press conference that these operations were jointly carried out by air, land, and sea forces, in collaboration with other security agencies. Additionally, 18 terrorists surrendered to the government forces. During the operations, the troops seized 93 various types of weapons, destroyed three illegal oil refining sites, and confiscated a large quantity of petroleum products. Onoja stated that the operations demonstrate the military's continued efforts to intensify the fight against terrorist organizations, criminal gangs, and oil theft networks nationwide.
