In the early hours of today, with the final segment of the steel-concrete composite beam lifted to the designated position, the newly built Shituo Yangtze River Bridge, a key control project on the Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway, was successfully connected, marking the completion of all 149 bridges on the Yuzhou high-speed railway. The Yuzhou high-speed railway is an important component of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway main channels, including the Beijing-Kunming and Bao-Hai routes. The main line of the railway is 251 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the completion and opening of the Yuzhou high-speed railway, it will strengthen the close connection between the urban areas of the Three Gorges reservoir area in the northeast of Chongqing and the main urban area, providing better service for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing urban economic circle.
