Russian representative emphasized the need to be vigilant about Japan's remilitarization.
On May 26th local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over a high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council on "Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the United Nations Charter and Strengthening the UN-Centered International System." Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Nebenzya, stated in his speech that Japan, as a defeated country in World War II, falls within the scope of Article 107 of the UN Charter. However, it is currently accelerating its "remilitarization" and trying to rewrite the results of World War II. Such dangerous trends deserve the high vigilance of the entire international community.
