The European Union Council has extended sanctions against individuals and entities related to Russia.

On the 26th local time, the European Council decided to extend restrictive measures against individuals and entities related to Russia for another year, until May 28, 2027. It is reported that the EU's restrictive measures currently apply to 72 sanctioned individuals and one entity in Russia. Individuals and entities listed on the EU sanction list have their assets frozen within the EU. EU citizens and companies are prohibited from providing funds to these restricted individuals. In addition, these sanctioned individuals are also subject to EU travel bans and are not allowed to enter or transit through the territory of EU countries.
