Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security: Explore expanding the scope of occupational injury protection pilot projects until a corresponding system is fully established.

On May 26, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the relevant information about the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Provision of Basic Public Services at the Place of Permanent Residence." Zhang Lixin, Director of the Planning and Finance Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, stated that some workers in new forms of employment, especially food delivery riders, are at a higher risk of accidents while carrying out platform orders. Currently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security is exploring the possibility of including other platform companies in industries with high risks of occupational injuries and high labor management intensity into the pilot range of occupational injury protection by 2027. Subsequently, this will be gradually consolidated and improved until a corresponding system is fully established.
