The three major stock indexes fell collectively in the morning session. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.84%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.87%, the ChiNext Index fell by 0.51%, the BeiGene Index fell by 2.71%, and the STAR 50 Index fell by 2.88%. The total market turnover was 2.1734 trillion yuan, an increase of 82.1 billion yuan compared to the previous day, with over 4500 stocks falling across the entire market. In terms of sector themes, precious metals, securities, and electric motor sectors led the gains, while semiconductor, fiber optic, and storage chip sectors recorded the largest declines. In the market, the precious metals sector opened low but then rose, with Zhongjin Gold and Western Gold Mines seeing gains. The securities sector also opened low but later rose, with Jinlong Shares and Zhongxin Jiantou among the top gainers. Some human-like robot concept stocks rose in the morning session as the IPO meeting date for Yushu Technology was confirmed, with Zhongda Lide and Keda Automation seeing significant gains. The semiconductor sector opened low and continued to decline, with Chengbang Shares hitting the limit down. In the fiber optic concept stock sector, Sanwang Communication, Tongding Interconnection, and Hangzhou Electronic Shares recorded the largest declines.
