Beijing is currently piloting the rental of surgical robots for use in hospitals, and several top-tier hospitals have already started conducting related work.
Recently, it was learned from the Beijing Hospital Management Center that Beijing is testing the rental of surgical robots in hospitals. Several top-tier hospitals have already started related work, and in the future, more surgical departments will be covered. It is reported that Beijing will carry out a 3-year pilot project for the rental of surgical robots, starting with Beijing municipal hospitals. Public hospitals within the city's administrative area can refer to and follow the project. Supported surgical robots must meet the standards for government procurement of domestic products, be substantially produced within China, be technologically advanced and innovative, and have clear intellectual property rights. The pilot project includes gradually implementing the rental of surgical robots in hospitals with corresponding clinical needs in various disciplines, covering more surgical departments, establishing a management system and operating mechanism adapted to the rental of surgical robots, and forming experiences and practices that can be replicated and promoted.
