The State Council Information Office held a press conference on the 2026 Qingdao Summit of multinational company leaders, and Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong stated that they will optimize investment structure and activate new foreign investment dynamics. The Ministry of Commerce has issued and implemented the 2025 version of the "Encouraging Foreign Investment Industry Catalog", adding 205 new categories of encouragement, focusing on advanced manufacturing, modern services, high-tech, energy conservation and environmental protection, providing policy support for foreign enterprises to expand into high-end and emerging fields. In the next step, more multinational companies will be attracted to set up research and development and high-end manufacturing processes in China, making the investment structure of foreign companies in China more optimal and enhancing their innovative capabilities.
