Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi met with the Foreign Minister of Singapore Wei Wen and the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan Muneer in Beijing on the 25th.
During the meeting with Wei Wen, Wang Yi stated that under the strategic leadership of the leaders of both countries, the all-round, high-quality, forward-looking partnership between China and Singapore has maintained a good momentum. Both China and Singapore are stabilizing factors in the world, and should work together to address the constantly emerging global challenges and maintain regional peace and stability. Safeguarding the security of global industrial and supply chains and ensuring smooth maritime navigation are common aspirations of all countries in the world, and China is willing to continue to make efforts in this regard. China looks forward to Singapore continuing to play an active role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation.
Wei Wen said that Singapore adheres to the One China policy. Singapore supports the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Malacca and other international waterways. Singapore is willing to promote greater progress in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN.
During the meeting with Muneer, Wang Yi welcomed Marshal Muneer's joint visit to China with Prime Minister Sharif, stating that regardless of changes in the international and regional situation, the friendship between China and Pakistan remains as solid as a rock and unbreakable. He believes that the Pakistan military will make new contributions to deepening the traditional friendship and building a community of shared future between China and Pakistan.
Muneer stated that the Pakistan military will continue to fully support the construction of a community of shared future between China and Pakistan and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Muneer also briefed on the latest situation of mediating the US-Iran conflict, indicating that an agreement is close to being reached. Wang Yi expressed China's appreciation and support for Pakistan's efforts.
