The Office of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and the Ministry of Emergency Management organized multi-department discussions and analysis on the development trend of heavy rainfall, and studied and deployed flood control and disaster relief work in key areas such as Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Jiangxi, Anhui, and Jiangsu. Currently, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters maintains a level-four emergency response for flood control in Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, and Chongqing. The working group dispatched by the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters continues to work in Hubei and Chongqing. The discussions pointed out that this round of rainfall has large intensity in some areas, outstanding extremity, and strong impact. Starting from the 26th, the main rain belt will gradually move eastward and southward. In the next three days, some areas in southern North China, most of Huanghuai, Jianghan, Jianghuai, northern central and southern Jiangnan, and eastern parts of southwestern regions will experience heavy rain or torrential rain, with locally extreme rainfall and accompanied by thunderstorm winds, short-term heavy rain, and other strong convective weather, making the flood control situation severe and complex.
