In April, the total national lottery sales were 54.073 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.672 billion yuan compared to the same period last year, a decrease of 6.4%. The main reasons for the decline were the high sales base of instant lottery tickets in the same period last year, and the decrease in sales of sports betting lottery tickets due to the reduction in sports events this year. Among them, welfare lottery institutions sold 17.958 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.217 billion yuan compared to the same period last year, a decrease of 6.3%; sports lottery institutions sold 36.116 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.455 billion yuan compared to the same period last year, a decrease of 6.4%.
