On the morning of May 24th, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz attended the Third China-Pakistan Information Technology and Telecommunications, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Agriculture B2B Investment Conference in Hangzhou. As an important activity of Shahbaz's visit to China, the conference attracted more than 500 companies from both countries, fully demonstrating the deepening cooperation in emerging industries between the two sides. In his keynote speech, Shahbaz stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, and the two countries have a longstanding strategic partnership. Economic and trade exchanges between Pakistan and China are close, with great potential for development. He expressed his hope for further deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, digital economy and artificial intelligence, economic zone construction, and mineral resource development, in order to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He sincerely hoped that companies from both countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, work together for a better future, and continue to write new chapters in Pakistan-China friendship. Shahbaz also witnessed the signing ceremony of several economic and trade cooperation projects between China and Pakistan at the conference. He mentioned that during previous visits to China and at the Hangzhou meeting, both sides had signed several large-scale agreements. Currently, these agreements need to be implemented into formal cooperation agreements. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation in the four major areas, including agriculture.
