Japanese "God of Retail" Toshifumi Suzuki has passed away at the age of 93.

On May 25th, Qiyi Holdings officially announced the obituary of former Chairman and CEO Toshifumi Suzuki, who passed away on May 18th due to heart failure. Known as the "Retail God" in Japan, he introduced 7-Eleven to Japan in the 1970s and successfully completed a reverse takeover, creating a huge global retail empire. Qiyi Holdings stated that, in accordance with the wishes of the family, the funeral had been held privately by close relatives.
