Australian mining giant FMG announces changes to its board of directors: former CEO Elizabeth Gaines resigns as executive director.

Australian mining giant Fortescue Metals Group announced on May 25th that Elizabeth Gaines has resigned from her position as Executive Director of the company, with the resignation to take effect from June 30, 2026. Gaines joined the board as a non-executive director in February 2013, then joined the executive management team as Chief Financial Officer in February 2017, and served as CEO and Managing Director from February 2018 to August 2022.
