The Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China has been renamed as the School of Environment at the University of Science and Technology of China.

On May 22, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of the University of Science and Technology of China announced a name change: In accordance with the spirit of the document "Notice on Renaming the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering to the School of Environmental Science" issued by the University of Science and Technology of China, in order to further broaden the direction of disciplinary development and optimize the layout of education, starting from May 22, 2026, the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of the University of Science and Technology of China will officially be renamed as the School of Environmental Science.
