Fuyao Technology University plans to recruit 100 undergraduate students this year, and many small and excellent universities are also expanding their enrollment.
On May 20th, Fuyao University of Science and Technology in Fujian announced its undergraduate enrollment plan for the year 2026. In 2026, the university plans to enroll 100 undergraduate students from 8 provinces and regions, including Fujian, Henan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Shanxi, Gansu, and Guizhou. The planned enrollment quotas for each province are as follows: Fujian 20, Henan 18, Hunan 13, Jiangxi 13, Guangxi 9, Shanxi 9, Gansu 9, Guizhou 9. In 2025, Fuyao University of Science and Technology admitted its inaugural class of 50 undergraduate students from five provinces nationwide. Compared to 2025, in 2026, the university plans to expand its undergraduate enrollment to three additional provinces: Shanxi, Gansu, and Guizhou, increasing the total enrollment plan from 50 to 100 students. In addition to Fuyao University of Science and Technology, a group of newly established research-oriented universities in recent years are also expanding their enrollment plans. Among them, on March 28th of this year, the Pearl River Delta University held an undergraduate enrollment briefing and campus open day event at its Songshan Lake campus in Dongguan. The briefing revealed that in 2026, the university plans to enroll undergraduate students from Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, as well as Hong Kong and Macao. Specifically, Guangdong will enroll 120 students, Guangxi 15, Hunan 15, Hubei 15, Henan 15, and Hong Kong and Macao 10 through the national unified exams, with a total estimated enrollment of approximately 190 students. This marks an increase of 110 students compared to the inaugural enrollment of 80 students exclusively from Guangdong.
