Report: The current global cumulative number of patents for embodied intelligence has reached nearly 200,000.

On May 22nd, the Smart Sprout Innovation Research Center under the AI native platform company Smart Sprout released the "2026 Embodied Intelligence Technology Development Report". The report shows that the current global cumulative number of embodied intelligence patents has reached nearly 200,000, formally entering a period of innovation outbreak, with China becoming the global leader in embodied intelligence technology innovation, accumulating approximately 103,000 patents and contributing to over half of the global related patents. From a technological perspective, the report points out that the innovation focus of embodied intelligence is shifting from "mechanical evolution" to "intelligent evolution", with the combined proportion of patents in the cerebral layer and cerebellar layer reaching 76.5% by 2025.
