Omdia's latest data shows that in the first quarter of 2026, the smartphone market in Latin America grew by 3% year-on-year to reach 34.8 million units. This performance is seen as a "continuation growth" following record shipments in the fourth quarter of 2025 and for the full year. In this region, Samsung led with 12.9 million units shipped and a 37% market share, a 9% year-on-year growth. Xiaomi ranked second with 6 million units shipped and a 17% market share, experiencing growth for the sixth consecutive quarter. Motorola ranked third with 4.9 million units shipped, a 5% year-on-year decrease, and a 14% market share. Honor ranked fourth with 3.4 million units shipped, a 30% year-on-year growth, and a 10% market share. Apple ranked fifth with a 31% year-on-year growth.
