At a press conference held by the National Development and Reform Commission today, it was learned that currently, China's summer grain production is stable with a solid foundation, and it is expected that abnormal weather will not have a major impact on summer grain production. The spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission stated that summer grain is the first season of grain production for the whole year, accounting for approximately 20% of the total annual grain production, and directly affects the overall stability of annual grain production. From the production perspective, the winter wheat, which accounts for about 90% of the summer grain production, is growing well and is stable compared to previous years. According to the monitoring of the National Climate Center, the El Nio phenomenon is still in its early stages, and the grain filling period for winter wheat has basically ended, meaning that the production volume has already been largely determined. It is expected that abnormal weather will not have a significant impact on summer grain production.
