AMD CEO said CPU demand will continue to grow in the next few years AMD CEO Lisa Su said on Friday that the growth rate of the central processing unit (CPU) market is faster than "anyone's forecasts from a year ago" and will continue to expand in the next few years. Over the next five years, AMD expects the CPU market to grow by more than 35% per year, "which is a very strong area for us," Lisa Su said at an event in Taipei. "About six months ago or a year ago, no one was talking about CPU shortages or tight CPU supplies, but with the growth in demand, CPUs have become the focus of attention," she said. Lisa Su said one of the reasons for her visit to Taiwan this time is to ensure that they are well prepared for the significant increase in CPU demand and have received strong support from all supply chain partners.
