Wang Yi Meets with Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Popescu-Dorcescu.

On the 21st, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks in Beijing with Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Popescu. Wang Yi expressed that China advocates equality among countries regardless of size, appreciates Moldova's correct position on issues related to China's core interests, and welcomes Moldova to further participate in the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative". Both sides should work together to implement the four major global initiatives and uphold the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries. Popescu stated that Moldova appreciates China's leading role in international affairs. Moldova adheres to the One China principle and is willing to work with China to uphold multilateralism. The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis. Wang Yi reiterated China's position of urging peace and promoting dialogue.
