The "National Consumers Association Wisdom 315" platform received complaints about blind box consumption in 2025, showing that the average amount involved in the complaints reached as high as 4427 yuan, with the highest single complaint amount reaching 300,000 yuan. Complaints mainly focus on issues such as lack of transparency, excessive consumption inducement, and delayed and deferred after-sales service. There are cases where minors make multiple purchases of blind box products without the knowledge or consent of their guardians. Currently, there is a tendency of "gambling-like" behavior in the blind box and trading card market, where some businesses take advantage of the curiosity and desire to collect of teenagers, leading them to make purchases beyond their own financial capabilities, affecting their academic performance and mental health. According to the "Guidelines for the Operation of Blind Box Behavior," operators are not allowed to sell blind boxes to children under the age of 8, and when selling to minors aged 8 and above, they should obtain the consent of their guardians in accordance with the law.
