The L iuzhou City Earthquake Relief Headquarters reported on May 21st: Since two 5.2 magnitude earthquakes occurred in Liu nan District of Liuzhou City, the houses and infrastructure of the disaster area have been severely damaged. In order to effectively relocate the disaster area residents, better respond to subsequent disasters, heavy rainfall during the flood season, and the adverse effects of summer high temperatures and other unfavorable weather conditions, Liuzhou will continue to intensify efforts to promote centralized relocation of disaster-affected residents in the hardest-hit areas. The main relocation targets this time are disaster-affected residents whose houses were severely damaged within a 2-kilometer radius of the two 5.2 magnitude earthquake epicenters, totaling approximately 3,750 households and 9,769 people. Outside the intensity VI earthquake zone, social hotels, party schools, universities and colleges dormitories, government affordable housing will be coordinated as relocation sources for disaster-affected residents. As of 23:50 on May 20th, all disaster-affected residents within a 2-kilometer radius have been relocated to fixed locations and concentrated with 5,388 people, while the rest have moved in with relatives or self-arranged. Previously, the disaster-affected residents temporarily relocated in places such as the Luosifen Town and Liuni Community have all been properly moved and resettled. The resettlement sites provide free room and board for one month.
